This has been a place my mom and I have gone for many, many years. We are usually season ticket holders and go to at least two shows a year. This theater is historic and the shows are always amazing. There is so much talent on the stage. Years ago we went and saw their adaptation of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and it was AMAZING. It was actually better than the Broadway version! We attend many shows on Broadway as well, so I think it speaks volumes to the talent at Penobscot that their performances blew the Broadway one out of the water. We have NEVER been disappointed with one of these performances. On top of such great talent the building is historic and has so much history. It's a great night out that is close to home.
