The amenities and welcome staff were great. My qreatest complaint was I was expecting a quiet and comfortable room to stay in especially since Sofitel is supposedly a 5 star hotel. As soon as I got in my room, they were doing some renovations upstairs that was way too loud to the point where it gave me a headache. I called and asked to be transferred to a different room and it took them over an hour to get back to me to tell me that they are fully booked and couldn't transfer me to a different room. They did, however, stop the renovations and that I appreciated. An hour or two later, I believe there was a party going on or some sort of concert because I could hear a lot of noise coming down below. At this point, I gave up and just accepted that the rooms are not soundproof and it's out of my control. I was expecting a more relaxed and quiet place in the busy city of manila.
