I've had a few wrong doings with the billing department. I have been at my place in Peabody for 5 years now - I know what to expect for my bills especially during the winter months i expect to pay a little more. in the winter normally I pay $100 or under. I get a bill for almost $300.00 - my husband and I monitor and try to barely use our heat. when i called and explained this they said it the meter was read and that's what the outcome was. i asked them to send people out again to get a reading. Again, I told them there is NO way. the previous year we used the heat 24/7 and it was cheaper then the bill they were charging us for $300.00 - the billing department was just very dismissive and rude about the situation as if I was making this up. i tried to explain i spoke with my neighbors that use the heat 24/7 and they NEVER got bills for that amount. The following month the bill was back down to under $100.00 and we used the heat even MORE that month. I called the billing department again and left 4 voicemails about this with NO call back. A month later i had a credit on my account for that month. Go figure. We all make mistakes - we are human, but what ever field you work in - its never wrong to be kind.
