A really great resort. Stayed here once for work and just checked out a few days ago with my wife for a week stay. Beautiful resort, friendly, helpful staff, nice rooms, beautiful pool and beach....we simply loved it.

The only negatives I can think of is prices. We all know it's a Waldorf and a Waldorf in Hawaii to top it off. But $15 drinks, really?? The drinks and food on property is just blatantly high. At check out our bill included just over $1,000 which was solely for drinks and 1 pool side lunch. That's just outrageous. Which is why we ate off site for almost every meal. Also, Wayne, the bartender at the pool bar...kudos my friend, he does a great job, but he really needs help. I can't tell you how many times we went to the pool bar and it was packed with 25 people or more and Wayne is always the only bartender. They really need 2 bartenders for that bar. A nice thing that we really appreciate now, is that the beach lounge chairs and umbrellas are complementary for guests. We are at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Oahu now and they charge guests $60 for 2 chairs and an umbrella a day!!!! So it made us really appreciate the Grand Wailea.

So all in all, come to the Grand Wailea knowing the prices and you will have a great time. It's really a beautiful, magical place. We hope to be back in the near future!
