My father is currently at Methodist. He developed a pressure ulcer on his upper lip from the breathing tube (totally due to nursing and respiratory neglect) and through the course of this wound, his upper lip fell off! No one has mentioned this to us, nor their plan to fix it. We had to bring it up ourselves. It seems as if they are hoping we just let it slide...we are not. Also, the communication between the doctors is almost non-existent. It seems as if the different specialties do not communicate with each other to look at the big picture. The neurologist hadn't ordered a MRI because she thought my father was still on a non-MRI compatible machine. It had been discontinued 10 days earlier! Honestly, it's like Keystone Cops over there...everyone running around and not knowing what's going on. Steer clear!
