My Name is Mirza Akmal Im from Cilantro Culinary Academy CCA Batch 129

I started my Culinary studies in May 2017 - March 2019 from there I got an opportunity to be a PR for Youth Professional Culinaire Association ( YPCA ) . From there I'm able to build up my knowledge, skills and connections with various Chefs across the world and in Malaysia.

From there I have known about a few Chefs from Cilantro Culinary Academy in which one of those Chefs are Chef Bernard Lee and Chef Chern both of them are well known here in Malaysia and across the world.

I was interested in learning from these Chefs in their Institute, so in April 2019 I did a credit transfer to enroll in a City and Guilds Diploma in Culinary Arts in Cilantro Culinary Academy.

From there in mid of April 2019 i was being offered by Chef Bernard himself to enter the Cilantro Competition Team known as the Challenger in which is being led by Chef Desmond my trainer. From there I went through various training in terms of respecting the time of service, time of cooking, working under pressure and under strict rules that we had to follow and we had to nail the consistency of texture, doneness, taste and platting every time.

From there i also went through a training in which i have to do a cooking demo in various school, and i also got the chance to be the Head of Service for a Electrolux Event in Cilantro Culinary Academy which being led by the Ambassador of Electrolux Michelin Star Chef Christian Mittermeier from Germany.

Through all the time I have been in Cilantro Culinary Academy I'm so proud of being able to study here. Our courses in culinary and pastry is 30% Theory and 80% Practical, and we have a great Chefs here in our Academy, im glad im being able to learn from all the Chefs in Cilantro such as Chef Tony, Chef Alan, Chef Raymond, Chef Loke, Chef Ron, Chef Liew, and other Chefs as well.

I would give a 10 Star rating for their teaching methods and how they train and shape their students. In Cilantro you are able to have lots of opportunity if you willingly accept it, we also have other programs that are being offered now in which you guys could go through their social media facebook or instagram.

In Cilantro all the Chefs are happy to train you and guide you in your course and even develop you for your career. Always excel yourself and never be afraid to fail, you learn when you fail. I believe if you have the passion in what you do you will be able to learn better.
