I had more positives than negatives. I was a little appalled by the welcoming at the admissions desk. The girl was very rude, wasn t welcoming and didn t make eye contact. Once up to the pre op area, all the staff was very pleasant and understanding and knew how to keep you calm. All the nurses and Drs where great. I was in a lot of pain and of course very out of it after surgery but the recovery area nurse I had was very sweet and kind to me. Once I was taken to my room ( I had to stay for observation for 24 hrs) the nurse was very abrupt and told me to get up out of the gurney and get in the other bed. I had just had my Ovary and a Mass and an Infection removed with 5 lg incisions in my abdomen. I refused to get up only an hour after surgery. I was in severe pain. They finally scooted me and even that was agonizing. Luckily that nurses shift was about over and I had a very sweet and kind nurse over the next 2 shifts. The only problem I had on the 3rd floor was everytime I needed help or pain meds I had to use the call button at least 2 times. Each time I would wait at least 15 min in between. The nurses aides that answered seemed bothered. There was even a few times no one even answered and my husband had to go find the nurse.
