Rory Feicht Review of VCA Pets are People, Too - Ans...

VCA is one of the best large-scale veterinary clinics/hospitals in central Atlanta. I switched here after going to the Humane Society for the longest time and I've never looked back. Humane Society is great, don't get me wrong, but it's always so busy that you have to make your appointment weeks in advance, and God forbid you have to reschedule you'll have to re-book it even farther into the future. At VCA, it seems like they always have a date and time that will work for you. Plus, they're 24/7, so if you have an emergency, you can bring your pet in and see them that day, and if you already take your pet there for regular check-ups, they'll have all the information they need on hand already.
In addition to the convenience, the staff here are exceptional. All of the vet techs are kind and helpful, and perhaps more importantly, they're very efficient. The computer system seems very up-to-date, so when you call they'll be able to pull up your file based on your phone number and use that to book your appointment, send you your pet's records, or whatever you need without unnecessary waiting times or relaying information you've already given them. The vets are just as good if not better. I feel like I've seen every one of them and I'm never disappointed. They're very understanding of your wants and needs as an owner, and they do a beautiful job balancing that with their knowledge of the wants and needs of your pet. They all keep up with the most recent news and practices of veterinary medicine and always provide the best information available in regards to your pet. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the people that work here. They love your pets as much as you do, and it shows.
If you have a rescue (as I do), this is absolutely the place to go. Everyone there is extremely patient and understanding and they will do everything in their power to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. If you have an especially frightened dog, I would recommend asking for an appointment with Jayme Douglas specifically. She has personal experience with rescue dogs and does a phenomenal job working out the best plan specific to you and your dog. I cannot recommend her enough. She's simply outstanding.
