Iconic statue, it was worth the wait and the ferry ride to see her up close. The site is a national park and is run by park rangers, on the island there are toilets, cafes, gift shops and a couple of museums.

If you collect national park stamps, then you can get your national park passport stamped in the main gift shop for free.

You aren't allowed to take food or bags into the statue but you can deposit your belongings into lockers outside. You deposit 25 cents to use a locker but you get the money back.
