We took a tour of the Madison house. The tour guide was very informative. She was not very well versed in the history of the enslaved people like Paul Jennings and Shawny extended family. We wanted to know where Paul Jennings wife lived, which plantation. The Mere Distinction of Color, the exhibit about the enslaved people and their descendants was a self- guided tour. The tour guide just told us to visit the cellars but she didn't tell us about the exhibit. We are an African American group of seniors.
