The night nursing staff in the NICU were terrible ...

The night nursing staff in the NICU were terrible when my 7 day old son was admitted. I m an RN myself & worked 6 years in a major children s hospital & would have never treated patients this way:
1. Night nurses seemed incompetent & unfriendly. The nurse just left important medication on my sons crib, I guess expecting his overly exhausted parents to give it until the morning nurse found it there not given.
2. They were frequently on their personal phones & I know they weren t looking up anything medical as they had computers right in front of them.
3. Terribly poor communication between medical staff & patient. We had to wait hours to receive any updated info that was time sensitive even after I asked many times.
