This particular Dominick's is MUCH cheaper than any other Dominick's I've been to (or any other Jewel for that matter)! With very quick turnover of items due to everyone from the area shopping here, items are normally pretty fresh.

Fruits and veggies: these are probably the only expensive things in the entire store... Guess the healthier it is, the pricier it is. If you buy the berries, especially if they are on sale, eat them right away or else they start getting bad the next day.

Meats/seafood: meats are super cheap - cheapest I've seen in the area (even the organic stuff). If you get fresh seafood, make sure you pick and choose. The fishes and shrimp are normally pretty fresh because of the fast turnover. There are $5 lobster tails, but they are small and extremely unimpressive - not something you'd buy to show off cooking skills to a date.

Ice cream: there is always going to a brand of ice cream on sale. Also, Ben and Jerry's or Haagen Dazs is consistently on sale :)

Some items you should definitely get:
- the salsa made by the company.
- pizza - really yummy and super cheap
- fried chicken - don't bother getting it anywhere else

Oh, and don't forget five dollar Fridays!!!
