I get that this is a business and they have to make profits but they will low ball trade ins and not always have the best prices. Case in point refurbished Canon 16-35 f/2.8L MKII goes for about $1,100 on direct from Canon but they will only pay about $700 for trade in because they claim Canon sells is for $900. Sometimes they have good deals but you gotta watch for them and more often than not I find better quality and prices on manufacturer sites (any direct manufacturer refurbished lens will be far better quality and shape than any used product).
