We are a group of four women from Australia. We stayed at Sandakan and KK, and the day tours were well organised and we saw some good stuff. The hotel at Sandakan was lovely. The KK hotel was ordinary, with terrible food. A highlight was a fantastic day with Britney the guide and Freddy the driver, up to Mt Kinabalu, Poring Hot Springs Canopy walk and the Botanical Gardens. Britney was a very considerate, knowledgable guide, with a great sense of humour. We felt very lucky to get such terrific genuine attention and education from a truly talented young local man.
