Started well but the nearer we got to exchange the more they lost interest. Assistants very unapproachable, borderline rude. Did not like it if you dared to chase up progress (seem to forget they're being paid for a service). Updated tracker to say documents had arrived - when I questioned this I was told they had been emailed to me (they hadn't) and that they couldn't promise they'd have the time to resend (e.g. click forward on one email and send again) before the end of the day - which was a Friday so would have meant more delays. Worst of all, when we finally had everything in order I received a call, again on a Friday, to say we were ready for exchange but as Friday was the busiest day if I didn't hear anything I could assume it hadn't happened. A very nervy weekend followed - called first thing on Monday to ask what time exchange would happen that day to be curtly told that it had already happened on Friday. On day of completion we were told the sale had gone through by the estate agent, not the solicitor we were paying a pretty hefty fee. Somewhat pathetic.
