This hotel is beautiful, but I had a couple issues with my stay that made my overall time here extremely frustrating. My travel companion and I were tired from driving all day on the Pacific Cost Highway. As soon as we entered the room, there was a faint smell of smoke. As soon as we entered the bathroom, however, the smoke was in full force and permeated the entire bathroom. We immediately went to the desk and were told all the rooms were double beds were booked. The solution? A free upgrade to a room with one king bed and a free rollaway bed.
Well, it took them over an hour to get the rollaway bed to our room. At this point it was well past midnight and I was exhausted. I m disappointed that I was only offered a $35 refund and a tourism tax fee refund. The first night of our stay should ve been comped.
