Neil A Review of The Royal Hawaiian Hotel Resor...

Where to start! The nearby restaurant was horrible in quality and service (Mai tai I think it was called?). You would have to actively have a hand up to get service, as even actively asking waiters you would get no service. I had two steaks there, both about 8 oz. but reduced to about 5 as a good third was fat. They tried to hide it saying "the cut we use has a large portion of fat." And if that's the case, just cut around the fat, "chefs!" When we arrived, the people were very friendly, but that has been the only redeeming thing about my 6 day trip. They close off direct access to beach at about 6:00 PM, and then you have to trek to one of the other connected hotels. Doesn't sound bad until you have to do it every night to go on the beach. Customers are extremely unnecessary to them unless it's a catering/hosting event. Another restaurant, the Azure, closed at 11:00 and I got there at about 10:59. They refused to seat me. The customers, like I said, are very optional to take care of. My father went to the pool one day and they had no seats available so my father had to sit at the bar and BUY a drink to sit. This is all for $500 dollars a night. I would rather go to a hotel in Seattle than this hotel in Hawaii again. The weather is lovely, but only if you can get a place to enjoy it.
Horrible place, terribly treated, would not go here ever again.
