The Supreme Court of the United States of America ...

The Supreme Court of the United States of America (in English: Supreme Court of the United States, sometimes abbreviated SCOTUS) was established on September 24, 1789 as the highest federal court in the United States. It is the only court specifically governed by the Constitution. There are 9 members of the Court: one president, Chief Justice of the United States, and eight members, the Associates Justices, appointed for life.
