Cohen Vein Care Review

Dr. David Cohen is one of the best doctors I have seen for the problem with leg veins or arteries. I have known him for quite long. He always discuss the issue in detail. I have never expererienced him being in rush while in room with patient. One can easily recogize his immense depth of knowledge in his field. Staff is also wonderful. Very nice, clean and well organized clinic. They take care of patient's privacy very well. I wish there are more doctors like him and more clinics like Circulatory care of NJ.

I'm very happy with my varicose surgery by Dr. Cohen. It has been a few years since my lazer surgery and my leg looks great. I highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering with those varicose veins.

Totally NOT satisfied with Dr .Cohen ... I went to him 3 yrs ago after having an arterial doppler , confirming I had PAD ....He recommended a angioplasty and as I realize ,being an RN , there never a guarantee with any procedure ...however, I was a same day surgery scheduled for an early appt angioplasty and was told I would not have to stay overnight , I found this odd due to the fact of at least monitoring for bleeding after the procedure, which is the main potetional problem following this type of procedure ... Although I remained in the hospital in the procedure area 7 hours post procedure then discharged ..I was back in the ER that night due to an allergic reaction to a bolous dose of Plavix given to me immediately after the procedure...That following week i developed an enormous hematoma and became concerned being i never had this procedure done and in my experience as a nurse and knowing people that had had this procedure done i became concerned ...I went in and he confirmed the hematoma w/out much concern and at that time he realized the procedure had failed ...He recommended to have it redone and perhaps with stents this time , again realizing even with stents this may not be successful ... I told him I needed time to make a decision ... Months after this procedure I was sent a bill from the hospital that I owed the hospital $22,000 that was not covered under my insurance ... After I come to find out from my insurance co that I should have been kept overnight for observation and they have never had a patient sent home the same day following this procedure , and had I been admitted this would not be a problem because I would have been an inpatient and all of this would have been covered.. seems odd to me that his office staff would not know this prior to the procedure ....I had called the office multiple times during this in hopes they could intervene and after some time I was told there was nothing more they can do to help me with this money issue with the hospital ...in short , I would never recommend him for any vascular procedure !

Had a referral from my PMD and scheduled an appointment with the Dr.Cohen 2 month ago , waited to see the doctor tomorrow. 48 hrs. before my first visit to the doctor was notified that the referral from my primary physician needed to be submitted via website through my insurance , unfortunately I was not told during my initial call to the office. Contacted yesterday my MD , they did everything. Made several calls to the Dr.Cohen's office stating that my doctor sent all the information that they required. Dr.Cohen's office representative stated that they did not receive anything. Despite my request to call my MD, who wrote me an referral for the "Vascular Evaluation for Varicose Vein "they did not want to call my Primary Doctor's office. I cancelled the appointment because was very disappointed how I was treated by office worker and they were not able to solve the problem. This is how they would like to have more patients ,I guess. I would never recommend anyone !!!!

One of the many things I appreciate about Dr. Cohen is his earnest dedication to his practice and to his profession ... I would recommend him highly to anyone seeking treatment.

Dr. Cohen has expertise in invasive cardiology so he is a natural in treating vascular issues - arteries or veins. Could not recommend him more highly!

Dr. Cohen is caring and competent. He has a very pleasant personality and does an excellent job. My legs look great and I can't wait for beach weather!

Physician put that I had worn stockings when I had not in order to get my procedure covered by Horizon.

Had to wait for over an hour on all of my appointments even when I arrived early.

Horrible experience. warning do not go for vein treatment.
