We have been going to The Hammered Lamb for a year...

We have been going to The Hammered Lamb for a year now and absolutely love it. Every single member of the floor staff and management are exceptionally friendly and always greet us. The location, in Orlando's Ivanhoe Village just north of downtown, provides a beautiful view of Lake Ivanhoe and Gaston Edwards Park. The property features a large covered patio and bar with plenty of table seating as well as an inside bar and dining area. Parking is tough in Ivanhoe Village but you can park in the sports field lot behind the building and railroad tracks if you can't find a spot on Orange Ave. Additional parking is also available in Harmon Photo's lot when they are closed. (See the signs inside The Hammered Lamb for hours.)

"The Lamb" has an extensive and ever-changing beer list (draught, cans and bottles) but traditional beers (Heineken, Yuengling, Miller Lite, for example) are available, too, if you're like me and don't really do the craft beer thing. They have multiple nightly specials and happy hours. On the weekend they offer specials on a variety of mimosas and have the biggest and best Bloody Mary I have ever seen. Right behind the building is the train track carrying SunRail and Amtrak. Whenever the train goes by, be prepared for a free "Train Shot," which is blueberry infused 44 North vodka.

The menu is small and that's a good thing because everything they do is fantastic and many items, unsurprisingly, feature lamb. Highlights include the lamb quesadilla, Swamp Dip and their baked chicken wings. We highly recommend the wings. The lamb gyro is good but not the best, although the tzatziki sauce is delightful. On Saturday and Sunday they offer an additional brunch menu in addition to the regular menu. I applaud them for offering both menus on the weekend as I don't like hitting a restaurant on Sunday only to discover they aren't offering their regular menu, leaving you with the brunch menu only. The Lamb's brunch menu features a good mix of breakfast and lunch items.

The Lamb is an official Orlando City soccer club partner bar and they offer additional Heineken specials during all OCS games. If you're visiting downtown Orlando, we highly recommend The Hammered Lamb. Tell them Sam & Lydia sent you!
