Nice room, luxurious, as expected for the price. But the bed linens what s with the trend of using flat sheets instead of fitted sheets to cover mattresses? I ve only encountered this at budget hotels, and had assumed that it was a cultural difference between American customs and wherever the motel owners had immigrated from. But a corporate behemoth like Sheraton surely trains its staff on how to make beds.

I care because I am a restless sleeper, and invariably wind up sleeping directly on the mattress when fitted sheets aren t used. And that feels dirty.
