1. The front desk didn't even give me the time of day when we checked in as 2 males for the one room. She wouldn't even look for another room that was pet friendly and feigned to not know the layout of the rooms in the hotel--we asked to overlook the river side if possible.
2. I complained the next day to someone who forwarded my complaint.
3. We had to ask to change rooms the next morning because constant movement of furniture was above us all the time--we conjectured it was a break area but was told no. Anyways, the move was facilitated by the excellent bell staff.
4. The day after I was confronted by the Director of Front Office? I was sitting quietly with my 8 lb. chihuahua on my lap and leashed sitting in the main lobby area and was told the area was considered food service so my animal had to be on the marble outskirts only. I told her "Then don't call yourself a pet friendly hotel". I then asked if she had heard about my complaint and she knew my room number and said yes. I waited for an apology but got nothing about my poor check in experience. I was quiet and controlled in my pushback. I mentioned I am a top reviewer and was told "I'm sure you are" and didn't seem concerned.
5. Our toilet in the new room had a toilet that refilled itself often but we didn't bother to complain.
6. The second to last evening of our stay was met with housekeeping not doing our room but we did get towels and stuff delivered to our room with no effort.
7. The staff for restaurants were attentive and kind.
8. Ironically I asked for the card of the GM when I was leaving and ironically it was the same "manager". Of course, she didn't ask if the rest of our stay was satisfactory.
9. I was in a cast and was being nice and returning the cart back to inside the hotel and was rudely confronted by a non bell hop saying "I can't take it to my room". I said in a frustrated tone that all I was doing while hobbling around was returning it inside near their stand.
10. We told others we met who were staying there and they said they saw other small dogs in the lobby area also and can't imagine why we were targeted.
