This is NOT a 5-star hotel at all.

This is NOT a 5-star hotel at all.

The room was super tiny, but most of all poorly organized, with a useless massive armchair that stopped the office chair from moving properly and getting under the desk was very hard.

In addition the room was very DARK! The only two small windows faced an internal, indoor space where the restaurant was. And my booking said "room with a view". It was so dark that, in the morning, with windows open and lights switched on, I had a hard time telling whether I was putting on the right side of my socks.

The minibar was locked for 2 days before anybody realized the room had been assigned to a guest.

I had to wash my hair with bodywash because I did not get additional shampoo. I don't care personally, but most ladies and some guys would have been quite annoyed.

The bed was extremely soft. Most hotels in this category have wooden boards that they can insert between the base and the mattress, in order to make it stiffer. This hotel does not.

They did not allow me to borrow a plug converter. EVERY hotel on Earth has a bucket load of those, forgotten by guests. These guys probably throw them.

As you can see, nothing crazy, it's not like the room was dirty or there was strong noise during the night. However, five stars mean perfection and little things matter. If I had booked a 4-star (and paid accordingly) I would be satisfied. Maybe not delighted, but certainly not upset.

Two stars instead of one because the people in the staff were nice and professional and because of the
location, which is walking distance from every major sight in Dublin
