There is a major disconnect between the online/phone sales and the actual sales team at the dealership. The special states "$88 down or $188 a month". Knowing I have less than stellar credit I spoke with 3 different members of the Internet team who all stated I will only be required $88 down and was approved and guaranteed to leave with a car, again, for $88 down. I was greeted fast and professionally by a salesman. He had me fill out information from a credit app as I had done already. After maybe 5 minutes he comes and says I have to put down $2500. I asked about the special and how the other 3 sales members said I was guaranteed to leave with $88 down to which he stated " its due to your credit and ..." which I've heard before which is why I contacted them 3 times before as to not waste a trip. On the upside he was not rude, was not pushy, and gave me options. I was approved but will just require the higher down payment. So overall do not trust the Internet team or ads for specials like the one I saw. I understand the reasons behind the decision and appreciate the courteous staff inside the dealership, but am very unappreciative of the Internet team for being dishonest just to get me in the door.
