We just checked in today. I had seen the pictures of the property and selected this over the other Starwood/Marriott properties. We are a platinum member and have loved W Hongkong, Groverner house Dubai, St. Regis Abu Dhabi and the list goes on. But this for sure is my first and LAST Renaissance.

This is supposed to be a resort - a resort. The rooms are nothing like one. Random business hotels that we have stayed have better rooms. Such below average toilet amenities. We were three adults plus a toddler. Towels and toiletries were just for one. No fresh fruits in the room - we are in Thailand and you couldn't keep one piece of fruit. The rooms are like a above average three star property. The pool is so so average, like why would you have such a pool. Management- please have a look at the competition and learn!

The beach is good hence one star. Real bad luck since we were ok to pay and get ourselves upgraded to a better room in any of the starwood properties but apparently every room is booked. Guess I have to suck it up for 4 days and just enjoy the beach. Such a waste of a 6 hour flight. A staycation in Dubai would be so better, anyway - it is what is it. Management - please better up your property. This is Phuket and you a RESORT. Act like one.
