The Peabody is still a gem. Kate at the front desk greeted us warmly at check in. She was professional and reflects positively on the hotel. No need to rehash how special the lobbyist..just amazing. A word of caution about parking. Just pay the extra amount and use valet. Self park requires an arduous walk and is a pain! They have signs that limit elevator occupancy to 1 family or 2 people...good! But the sanitizer on the elevator was empty..odd. Our room was beautiful and well appointed. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large and well lit. Big roomy tub and good water pressure in shower. They do not use fitted sheets on the beds so sheet did not stay in place during the night. Also the duvets looked worn. There were usb plugs next to both beds. The phone in our room did not work. Also I was on hold 15 minutes to ask a simple request. We requested the bellman be at our room the next day at 7;00am. He arrived at 7:10.

On a high note, there is no coffee pot in the room. They do have coffee available downstairs, but it is not available until 7:00 am. Since my husband needs it when he wakes up, I asked Reginald at the front desk if there was anything he could do dor us. He personally went to the coffee shop and had them make coffee then (it was 6:00 AM) for my husband. I love that he took ownership of my problem and found a solution. He also pointed out that they are happy to bring a coffee pot up if a guest requests it.
