This "Resort" is the perfect example of a place with loads of opportunity but just horrible management and execution. While the staff were friendly and nice, the execution and attention to detail that one would expect at a place with this price point was horrendous. For starters, it took us 1 hour to check into the hotel. There was a convention the weekend we were visiting, and many of the attendees were paying cash. This slowed things up incredibly. Not necessarily the resorts fault, but they could have had a separate line for those paying with credit/debit cards or even better, had the conference people check in at the atrium next door. Making matters worse, the sliding glass door to our balcony on the 16th floor had no lock. Not fun with a 1.5 year old who loves opening and closing doors. Added to this was the hair in the shower, and it was clear the cleaning crew and maintenance staff weren't managed very well. The worst of all was the 'Kids Adventure Land". Again it had great potential with a Nintendo Wii set up along with plenty of crafts etc for younger kids. All nice things if they would have just cleaned the joint within the last decade! Spiders and cob webs were in every corner of the place and the bathroom was just despicable. I would have been more likely to have my kids use the restroom in the stall of Reliant at the end of a Texans game as I would have let them use this one. Trash overflowed the trash can, the floors were filthy, and let's just say the toilet and sink needed to be replaced. Completely unacceptable. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Quite a shame, being the proximity to North Houston, location on Lake Conroe, and a water park that admittedly is quite impressive. What a shame!
