The building was realized in 2002 by the province of East Flanders on land belonging to the City of Ghent. Various sports-related organizations have had their permanent place there for 15 years: mainly many federations, such as the Gymnastics Federation, the Flemish Roeiliga and Parantee-Psylos, but also the East Flemish department of Sport Vlaanderen and the Sports Department of the City of Ghent. In the evening, the meeting rooms in the building are rented to sports, culture and youth associations.
