THE GOOD

THE GOOD
- Excellent location. It seemed that everything we wanted to do was only 10-15 min away
- The interior of the rooms are fairly updated and modern. We had a suite which had a nice sitting area. But the exterior of the rooms are very dated.

THE BAD
- We were greeted by Veronica at the front desk who did not smile once. When she took my husband s credit card and gave it back, she did not even say thank you or smile. Then she told us where our room was and gave us a map. When I asked her where on the map our room was, she said, The bellman can tell you that. Ummmm, EXCUSE ME?! I have NEVER had the front desk clerk NOT tell me where my room was. I wans t asking for driving directions on how to get there, simply where on the map it was. She was so rude and unfriendly. And this is the first face of the hotel that we saw. Certainly not the first impression a hotel wants to make.
- $38/night parking fee. Are you kidding me?! Everyone drove here and we already spent a fair amount of money on the rooms. They were really nickel and diming us.
- The hotel bungalows are very dated looking. Not what I was expecting for such pricey rooms.
- The housekeepers certainly left something to be desired. It took them THREE DAYS to finally wipe down the kitchenette area.
- The staff as a whole was extremely unfriendly. In the 5 days we spent there, very few of the staff members that we crossed paths with even smiled or said hello to us in passing. Even when we literally walked right in front of the bellman, he completely ignored us. It was certainly a strange, cold atmosphere.
- When I went for a massage, the spa was right next to the main pool, so I could hear children screaming throughout my massage. Who builds a spa right next to the pool?! And there were also periods of maintenance where people were banging on the roof of the treatment room. Not the relaxing experience I was expecting.
- On Labor Day, it was very busy, as expected. Barefoot was only one restaurant open at the time, but the wait was over 2 hours for a party of 2. I would have expected the management to anticipate this and open other restaurants early given the holiday crowd. But I was more than happy to spend my money at a restaurant outside the hotel given the experiences we had there.

THE UGLY
- The other guests were so rude and entitled. We had a beach front bungalow. One night we went out to make s mores in the fire pits on the beach. There were multiple not being used. So we went up to one, and another guest comes out of his room stating that he was going to use that pit so we went to another one. There were some chairs by the pit, but no one else around, so we figured we could use the pit. A different guest then comes up to us, telling us that she had been reserving that pit since 2 pm. First of all, THIS IS A PUBLIC BEACH. Simply because you set up your beach chairs there, doesn t mean that the fire pit is yours stop being a spoiled child and learn to share. After a long argument with her, she finally gave up (she also had a gas fire pit that she was using literally right outside of her room). We used the pit for about an hour and left. When we check later in the night from our room, NEITHER OF THE 2 GUESTS THAT TRIED TO KICK US OUT OF THEIR RESERVED FIRE PITS HAD EVEN STARTED A FIRE THAT NIGHT! And, not surprisingly, the rude lady who had been reserving her spot on the beach since 2 pm that day left her chairs on the beach for the next 2 days straight. I was appalled at the selfishness of the other people staying at this hotel.
