My husband and I had a great dinning experience on...

My husband and I had a great dinning experience on the River Forth Dinning Car Lunch on Tuesday July 24. Everyone of staff from the gate, on the grounds, the shuttle drivers and the servers were pleasant and very helpful. This was a first time experience and we talked about all the family members we would like to have enjoy it.

Though the park is fully wheel-chair accessibly, the dinning cart is not for full time wheelchairs users. I use a 4-wheel walker and a wheelchair for long distances, due to a Spinal Cord Stroke at the T3 and I'm in 24/7 neuropathic pain. On this day I used my walker, but the host informed me that I could not take the walker in. Before I could say a word she repeated herself and said there's just no space. I was very accommodating and obliged. My husband kindly helped me from the station gate into the cart and to our table. My walker folds up, and I believe it was possible to keep it on the train car.
We were dropped off at the Shepard station at the end of the dinner so I had to again get around without my walker. Due to the kindness of the shuttle driver who picked us up, stopped for the walker at the Midnapore Station and drove us to the closest entrance to the parking lot, I did not have to walk the promenade from the gate to the parking lot for our vehicle.
I advocate on behalf of those with Disability who 'look' normal and are treated like I was. Hoping some changes will be made.
