My partner and I made a reservation in the morning...

My partner and I made a reservation in the morning (same day) for this restaurant online. It was for our anniversary and we are on vacation from Canada and we had heard very good things about them. When we arrived for our reservation at 9pm, we were told they could not accommodate our reservation, citing that they did not receive the reservation (we showed them confirmation number and everything) and were not very apologetic at all. The manager offered us a discount at a later date, which does not help us at all as we will be leaving the country soon, but also, if they cannot honour a reservation I don t want to trust them on their word of a discount.
