Chateau of great historical significance.
Honestly, for me it was a little bit "too much of everything ". Too much of gold and that typical baroque "millions of details" atmosphere. From forest you can not see the tree. Although, nobody can deny beauty of the place and because of so many paintings and sculptures, we need to give it a 5 star rating. It is a masterpiece in his own way. Versailles is a symbol of apsolute monarch power and monument erected in glory of king Louis XIV how he saw himself as a Sun king. Quite egoistic. Versailles represents the cause of French revolution and why it started. Gardens are beautiful and lovely restaurant in the chateau is nice with good food.
