Very poor customer service. At best, uniformed staff, at worst, a scam.

When I went in to rent one of their storage units the office staff was very cold. No smiles, no have a nice day, etc. I had to ask how one goes about paying. When we went to the storage unit the following Saturday, the unit still had their lock on it. The manager did eventually come out and unlock the unit and he unlocked a second one just in case. We did need to use the second one, so the following Monday I came in and filled out the paperwork for the second unit. The person I worked with told me the payment process would be the same and if already I setup autopayment, I would not need to change anything. The units were not put together on my autopay account, so the payment was not made for the second unit and they tacked on a $10 late fee. To me, this was not my fault they did not put the units together, especially when they told me there was nothing else I needed to do. I called and the person I spoke to was very rude insinuating that I thought I would just get away with paying for one unit. A simple "I'm so sorry this happened, but unfortunately I can't take the late fee off" would have been a much better way to handle this.

I don't know if this is an issue with untrained staff or if they really just do not care to be nice to their customers and want to scam them out of their money. Either way I am sure that I will not be working with this company in the future. It's too bad there is a rental crisis in the area, because I'm sure there are people that have no choice but to deal with this company. Hopefully when this is over their poor customer service will start to affect their business and they will change how they treat their customers.
