As a Bay Area kid, the Bridge is symbolic to Northern California. It's an inexpensive place to visit, and we enjoy taking cousins and other relatives to see it whenever they visit. There are a bunch of photo opportunities around the bridge and on top of it, too. There is a little section near the entrance to the Bridge where visitors can park their car (parking fee is pretty inexpensive, based off of how many hours of parking you need), and in the little section, there are facts about the Bridge and why it's so symbolic. You can also start walking across the Bridge from there. It is pretty chilly at all times of day, so you might want to pack a jacket or two. There are really great coffee and tea options around the Bridge, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own. It's honestly pretty nostalgic to visit it because I've been there since I was a kid.
