I do not recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I dined at White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails on a Friday night with a reservation at 7 PM. We arrived about 15 minutes early and checked in the hostess. She went back to check on our table and came back saying it would be a minute. My husband asked how long to see if we had time to get a drink at the bar and she replied your reservation is for 7 so probably around 7. For being the first person we saw at the restaurant she did not give a warm greeting.

We went to the bar and had three bartenders acknowledge us standing there and one tell us to give him just a minute. He never came back and we never were able to order drinks.

We were taken to our table and were greeted by a young man who took our drink order. It took twenty minutes to get our drinks and the only people we saw during that time were the attentive gentlemen refilling our water and one brought us bread that was incredibly delicious.

Our drinks arrived and the young man asked for our order. We stated we would like to order an appetizer, enjoy it, and then order dinner. He came back a few minutes later and asked for our order again or to take the menus because he did not want his manager to think he had not taken our order.

I ordered a glass of Riesling for dinner and received a Chardonnay.

We ordered. My husband had the duck and I had the NY Strip. My husband enjoyed the duck and it was cooked well. My steak was ordered medium rare and came medium well and was a lot spicier than the menu let on.

Just before dinner and once during dinner we were greeted by a woman who apparently was our actual waitress. It appeared that she was everyone s waitress and her management was overworking her. The entire place was chaotic and most of the tables around us were complaining.
