What an experience!
We hired bikes from Blazing Saddles near our hotel (Argonaut). 2hrs free via hotel or $18 plus $12 for the ferry if you decide to do a 'round trip' rather than cycle back. (Plus tax 8%?).
Sunday was busy - god knows why some want to go so fast!.
There are some steep hills where the moderately fit will need to get off and push.
Tips:
Allow around 4 hours and take a pack up, drinks etc...
Stop at the first picnic tables you see at the other side.
If you decide to stop near the ferry side, you have to pay $3 to park your bike!
Plan your ferry times (check the internet)
Take a coat or hoodie.
We went in May... windy, sometimes grey, sometimes sunny... use sun screen - I got burnt !
