Ana Review of Club Balai Isabel

The place is clean and room size is okay. We stayed overnight with kids for a weekend getaway. We are 2 families with kids . They let us use the facilities as early as 8am once we arrived. Rooms are ready by 2pm.
Food is affordable and delicious. Servers are nice however the hygiene aspect of utensil handling is zero. I asked for straw the waiter handed it to me without napkin. On breakfast buffet they ran out of cutlery on hand so I went to the bar and ask the staff. She just picked up a spoon lying on a counter top and wipe it with towel, I refused it :( senior staff saw what she didi so he went to the kitchen and gave me a spoon (which i hope is clean) again without a napkin.
We had a Sunday breakfast buffet (it's free when you checked in) and I was shocked with the food selection. It looks like a lunch spread with adobo, picadillo, ginisang sitaw main dish. I was expecting for longganisa, sausage, tocino, corned beed. The staff said it was served last Saturday and the rotation choice unluckily falls on a Sunday. And they further stressed that the dish caters mainly to team building guest. :(
We enjoyed the aqua thrill, it's not easy though but we really had fun. My 6 and 3 year old kids were crying and scared. Good thing the staff manning the float is very knd, he carried my kids coz I am struggling how to cross the hurdle float! Some of it were deflated but over all it was fun.
There's zumba sesh too, kayak. Lots of activities to do.
Swimming pool close to the buffet area is clean however, day beds are few and no parasol so we could not use it. O hope next time they could put more daybeds.
Beach towels shortage were experienced too. The moment we used the pool we asked for these towel and lifeguard said " wala pa pong delivery" I am shocked. It's the first time I heard such, on a club resort. I am sure the are expecting influx of guest. That same afternoom moving to a bigger pool still no beach towel available. The following day , still beach towels are not readily available. Eventually they deliver the tower but not outright. Let's say a delay of more than 1hour. My fellow mommy who spoke to the lifeguard informed him that we will return the towels to the other swimming pool as our room is closer to that side. The lifeguard said " mam hindi po pwede kasi.. Etc etc" no hospitality training at all! My friend just said "ako pa ba mag aadjust sa kanila , sinosoli na nga ang towel eh para di sila ma short" . Oh well these minor comment that we just need to let go, coz anyway we are there at the club to enjoy :)
