Northstar was great for going there on a whim. We lucked out by going near the end of the summer season when it was really slow and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. No lines for anything and all the beauty of northern Tahoe, the best part is that it was only 30$ for two of us to ride up the gondola asuch as we wanted for the day!
