Josh Brackin Review of St.Andrews Hall

This was our first time at St. Andrews Hall. We went there to watch "The Devil Makes Three" (bluegrass band). We ended up having to leave very early into the concert. They severely oversold the event and the venue was so packed that I had people literally pressed into me on all sides to where I could barely move. I've never been to a concert so packed with people. On top of it, the venue intentionally hid the actual start time of the concert so that they could pack people in and sell a lot of drinks well before the event actually started. We ended up waiting for two hours after the advertised start time on the ticket, and this resulted in almost everyone in the venue getting completely wasted by the time the artist was ready to play. So imagine being crammed into a small space like sardines and mixing that up with all of the sardines being drunk and high. This might be fun if you're somebody that is treating this place as their local bar, but it's not fun for people that are actual fans of the band and were excited to see them play. It's really too bad because I bought these tickets for my wife as a Christmas present and the evening ended up being pretty bad. I wish that we had waited unit the band played in Cincinnati the next month so that we wouldn't have had to deal with all of the drunks.
