We stopped in at the Tavern last night for a drink...

We stopped in at the Tavern last night for a drink after an enjoyable night at the movies but sadly our enjoyable night out ended here. As we got to the bar, the male attendant didn't acknowledge us and when he finally did it was as if we were a burden and were interrupting what he was doing. We ordered our drinks and my friend was paying cash and was made to walk down to the end of the bar to collect her change as he didn't want to walk it back to her. At the end of the sale there was no thank you, no have a good night and still no smile. As we walked away I turned to my friend and said that a 'thank you would have been nice'. He heard this and rudely asked if I had a problem. I then proceeded to tell him that a Thank you would have been nice. He then muttered something under his breath and walked away. We quickly finished our drinks and left. I regularly go to the Tavern for drinks,entertainment,lunch,dinner but sadly I don't think I will be returning. I will be going somewhere I feel welcome (not a burden) and where I get a smile and most of all a THANK YOU.
