I had a pretty invasive surgery at Hopkins with surgeon Dr Julie Freischlag, first rib resection and scalenectomy on left side to treat Thoracic Outlet Syndrome with arterial compression. I was treated like dirt by the surgeon when I expressed concerns with being discharged only 24hrs of my surgery while still in pain. She proceeded to come into my room alone in the evening, insult me and argue with me regarding various issues without a witness present. Completely unprofessional and although my surgery seems to have given me improvement in my issue I would never return to this surgeon or the hospital at all. When I made a formal complaint, I received a letter stating incorrect information and was blown off. I am in disbelief how a hospital and surgeon of this stature can treat patients this way. I hope to at least get the word out there to warn future patients. I am available for questions if you are going to be treated here and would like to know more details of my incident.
