I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised by the poor customer service of the telephone staff.

It's so easy to sign up to Eir, there's so many shops around but when you decide to leave, it's harder than winning the Rugby World Cup.

I've called Eir 5 times today; first call said that they wanted the business name, which was my name, which I have and they refused to pass the id test. 2nd call was they wanted the account number and as I couldn't give it, they finished the call. 3rd call, got through to cancellations and the man said 'oh my computer has just crashed' Can I call you back? Yeah sure, I say. I'm still waiting for the return call. 4th call, operator hung up. 5th call, advised to send an email to eir, which I have done.

Such a shame that the nation's provider treats you this way but it's a buyer's market so my advice, shop around.
