Like most parks of this sort, the food and drinks are expensive. There were a lot of people there, but the only places it felt crowded were the wave pool and the lazy river. The lazy river gets extremely crowded, to the point of being unenjoyable. Wait times for slides haven't been too bad any of the times I've been. Options for kids under 48" are decent and there are 6 or 7 water slides that you can do with your kids sharing a raft if you're nervous about them going alone. Overall, this park is a great option for locals or anyone vacationing at Va Beach, as it is only a short drive from the Boardwalk area.
*Also of note is how accommodating they are for diet restrictions. My daughter has food allergies and the staff went out of their way to not only prepare her special food, but also special order an item for her next visit. Amazing service.
