2012,,,,, I was admitted through the emergency room. Had to have emergency surgery for a stomach problem. I'm from NY which has some of the best hospitals so I must say 4 years ago I was impressed with the nursing staff and doctors. They were responsive and knew how to handle a emergency situation. Both with procedures and Dx.
2016,,,,Was back in the ER for a second bout with the stomach. The hospital appears to have had a BIG turn down. First: RN couldn't run the IV line and I have great veins had to get a EMT. Not to mention she left the rubber turret on which I noticed after my arm was getting numb. good thing I was conscious. Right arm and left arm. This is nursing 101 skill,,, LOL Dr. was a joke ,,,,,she was totally confused between the signs and symptoms of a stomach aliment and kidney stones. REALLY ,,,,I needed to explain to her there is no correlation for my signs and symptoms and kidney stones. You can't even get confused between the 2.
Maybe they'll read this and up their game. It can be a good hospital again is someone in hiring pays attention.
