Making the decision to go into hospice is dauntin...

Making the decision to go into hospice is daunting. The uncertainty, the worry, and the raw emotion can be a lot to bear for the patient and their family. The amount of choices out there is overwhelming. That being said, we were fortunate to have made the absolute best decision we could have ever hoped for by choosing Joliet Area Community Hospice (JACH).

You have the hardest job in the world being there for families, like ours, in the darkest days they couldn t begin to imagine until they go through them. Having Jen as our nurse was the biggest relief we could have ever asked for. To say she went above and beyond would be an understatement.

To have someone like Jen come into our home to administer care provided significant relief for all of us. We knew every time we picked up the phone that we would be taken care of. She kept her availability open for us, especially in those final days.

Even though we wanted to recognize Jen for all she has done for all of us during this time, our whole family would be remissed if we didn t say how wonderful everyone we interacted with at JACH was. The kindness, dignity, and support we received is beyond what we could have ever asked for.

Losing a loved one is never an easy road, but we can confidently say we have no regrets, especially during those final days and that is thanks in large part to Jen and the rest of the folks at JACH.

You are all doing gods work.

Thank you,

Bob Koch
