We recently stayed at the J W Marriott in Khao Lak and would have to say it was a great experience. We were picked up at the airport as arranged and greeted on arrival by a young man in the reception area who explained the hotel to us and took us to our lovely room. From the balcony in front of the room we could step straight into the beautiful pool. There were great restaurants and bars too and the massages were wonderful. Each day we had a coffee in the Deli, the coffee was good and the staff there so lovely. In fact above all else it is the staff that makes this such a wonderful place. From the lovely Koy, Nuch, Meow, Laila, Ruk and others in the main dining room, to Ann at the Thai restaurant, Benja at the Japanese they are such beautiful hosts. The lady who did our room each day, Tang, was wonderful. We met Alex on our first day and he turned out to be the second in charge but every time we saw him he asked how we were and if there was anything we needed. Then there was Wat, who is the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager who just couldn't do enough for us. We would see him at various places and he would ask where we were going to eat that night and then make the booking for us and then turn up at the restaurant to make sure we were happy. He really made it all very easy for us. A great holiday, a wonderful hotel and the best staff ever.
