A few years ago I went to this store to buy a cable for my computer. I found one that looked like it was the right cable. I paid cash for it. On the way out I saw another cable with different ends which was the one I needed. I asked if I could make an exchange and they said yes but...we don't give cash refunds so I would have to wait for the cashier to cut a check. We're talking $2 something and I hadn't left the store yet.
Last week my wife, totally blind, left her computer with Steve, the owner and Steve gave it to Kevin, his tech. My wife made it abundantly clear with both Steve and Kevin not to remove a very special program designed specifically for the blind called "JAWS" because it is very expensive to replace; somewhere around $895. All she wanted done was to have her e-mail problem fixed (not sending or receiving).
When we picked up her computer we paid $79.00. We took it home and discovered that one of the two JAWS programs had been removed. Kevin took the liberty of remove one of them (he told us he didn't know that he did), and that's why he didn't say anything about it. The e-mail problem still exists.
Beware of Kevin! His ego is bigger than his computer skills. He proved to us that he doesn't know what he's doing...and Steve says Kevin is the best tech he has.
