Your experience may be good or it may be like mine.
I visited Sutherlin Nissan to look at a used Expedition. I called and spoke with Brandon Whiteman (internet sales manager) before i traveled there from South Carlolina. I specifically asked him what their fees are in a deal <ie.> TTL, doc fees etc. Brandon stated it depends on the deal but there was a six hundred something dollar doc fee. I show up the following morning to look at the vehicle I had contacted them about through CarGurus and then by phone. I look at the vehicle with a nice polite sales guy, go for a ride and then discuss the price. My sales guy speaks with Brandon for a few minutes and now the sales price is considerably higher than I expected and higher than the 600+ dollar doc fee, my sales tax and the advertised price Cargurus. I look the pricing sheet over and see a $1147.00 UCI Fee, the expected documentation fee, Tax Tile/Loan fee and my state sales tax of 500 dollars. UCI FEE; That's a used car inspection fee. I guess Mr. Whiteman forgot about that 1200 dollar fee when we spoke the day before.
Everyone I spoke to at Sutherlin Nissan was polite but at the end of the day i drove down there and got surprised by an extra 1200 fee in a deal after I specifically asked about their fees. Oh well, there are more Expeditions out there that someone would love to sell. Sutherlin is just another car dealer living up to the stigma that surrounds their industry.
Good Luck
