The first room had roaches. So they put us into another one that was Roachfree. The room had an air filter that looked really dirty, and the tub drained slowly while showering. Other than that, room was clean and roachfree. Over the next few days, we enjoyed breakfast there and the staff we encountered at the onsite restaurants and pool we're pleasant. On the 6th day, we splurged a bit at the pool all day, then some storm clouds started rolling in. So we packed up and started hiking up to our room. When we arrived, our key didn't work. My wife, kids and newborn baby standing in the cold while it's raining, outside. So I hightail it to the front lobby, a few minute run. I tell the front desk clerk my key isn't working, and he tells me my credit card was declined. I tell him I need to get my wallet, I've been at the pool all day. He says "we deal with you people all the time, I need another form of payment to activate your room key. " my newborn is outside in the raining cold, I didn't have time to teach this young man lessons on respect, I asked for the manager on duty, explained to him the situation quickly, and we got into a cart, went to the room and let my family in. Grabbed another card and said next time try calling your guest to resolve the situation instead of treating them like garbage. I don't ever post negative reviews about anything really. But I just felt compelled to let other people know, who may have families, to consider your options before staying here. I spent well over $3000 on this hotel, and it just was not worth the overall experience.
