The hotel has a very nice outdoor pool. It is close to Oceanpark and Aberdeen (harbor and jumbo restaurant). The restaurant in the hotel is overpriced. The breakfast menu, for 80 HKD per person, is also very meager for a hotel of this category.
A bakery, a 7-Eleven store and a pizzeria can be found in Yip Fat Str. Around the corner (2 minutes).

With the opening of the subway (MRT) to Central / Hong Kong station, the connection is definitely better; future station can be reached quickly on foot.

Deepwaterbay can be reached by bus number 73 or 573 in R. Stanley in 5 minutes.
